Marina Bay Sands is seeking a qualified candidate for Assistant Project Manager (Sustainability) position for a new construction project at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The new development, Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort 2 (MBSIR2), is located immediately adjacent to the existing Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort.

The key elements of the MBSIR2 Project will be a state-of the-art 15,000-seat arena. An all-suite luxury hotel tower with associated amenities and MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) space.

Summary of Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Project Manager is to support in managing the integration of sustainability measures into design and construction of a MBSIR2, in support of Las Vegas Sands (LVS) Corp's global sustainability program ECO360, local environmental sustainability laws and regulations.

The Assistant Project Manager will be assisting in managing the seamless implementation of the Sustainability initiatives across the development. The successful candidate will support in overseeing the entire process from initiation to conclusion, ensuring the development meets its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.

This role demands an energetic professional with project management expertise, and a practical knowledge of Environmentally Sustainable building design and construction according to green building rating systems such as BCA Greenmark and USGBC LEED and ISO14001.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • In co-ordination with the project's consultant and contractor, Monitor and supply all sustainability related performance metrics reporting including utility consumption, carbon emissions, waste management and recycling.
  • Manage ESG and ISO14001 data collection, analysis, tracking and reporting.
  • Review construction documents for compliance with LVS' Sustainable Development Standards and environmental certification programs.
  • Support to drive implementation of energy and water conservation measures, and recycling efforts.
  • Proactively assist to identify potential risks and to develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Support the team in research and implementation of leading sustainability innovations and solutions.
  • The proficiency to foster effective collaboration with both contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal operation stakeholders, Development team, design consultants and contractors.
  • Assist in supporting renovation project's Sustainability goals in existing properties.
Job Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in project management/ environmental sustainability/construction management/ engineering/ architectural, is preferred. Equivalent qualifications in relevant fields may also be considered.
  • Min 2 years' previous work experience in Project Management with Sustainability co-ordination preferably in the construction or hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks including BCA Green Mark, LEED and ISO 14001 are preferred.
  • Experience in ESG data management platforms and analytical tools such as Sphera are desirable.
  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other built environment project-related activities, their interfaces, and interdependencies.
  • Capable of compiling meaningful reports and presentation materials
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office includes PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams to build collaboration and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to interact appropriately and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Greenmark Associate (GMA) /LEED Green Associate, or other sustainability-related certifications are desirable
