Accountant

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and timely submission of management accounts;
2. Maintain journal entries and the monthly closing;
3. Liaise between branches and relevant departments within Group to ensure that all queries and disputes are dealt with effectively and punctually;
4. Assisting in generating the monthly financial and management reporting for business units, and ad-hoc side reporting;
5. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analysing variances to identify areas for improvement;
6. Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support the management team in strategic decision-making;
7. Assist in handling other financial issues, e.g. annual statutory audit, tax filing etc;
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies;
9. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
10. Ad-hoc projects and other related matters;

Skills / Qualifications:

1. Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or other related course
2. Minimum 3 years of Accountant experience. Prefer 2 to 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis is considered a plus.
3. Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
4. Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications, such as Excel
5. Detailed oriented with strong analytical, initiative and problem-solving skills
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
