Job Description
Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and creative intern to support affiliate marketing efforts, contributing to online shopping content across the SPH Media network. In this role, you will assist with content creation, performance analysis, and organic social media initiatives.This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how to create shopping content that drives sales, work on impactful projects, and develop your digital marketing skills. This internship is open to polytechnic and university students interested in digital marketing and eCommerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Writing Stories
- Brainstorm and pitch story ideas for shopping content across SPH Media titles (e.g., HardwareZone, Her World, Home & Decor).
- Conduct research on SEO key phrases and products to be featured in content.
- Write engaging copy for product listicles, reviews, and other shopping-related content.
- Assist in preparing stories for publication in the CMS: copy editing, formatting, and scheduling content.
- Video Production for Organic Social Media
- Assist in shooting and editing short videos for social media platforms, focusing on organic content.
- Work to optimise content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Performance Analysis
- Monitor and analyse affiliate marketing performance, tracking key metrics like page views, conversion rates, click-through rates, and revenue generated.
- Contribute to the analysis of organic social media performance to inform future content creation strategies.
- Reporting & Insights
- Help compile monthly performance reports, providing insights into the effectiveness of content.
- Identify key trends and opportunities for optimisation and growth.
- Campaign Management
- Support the execution of affiliate campaigns during key shopping events (e.g., Amazon Prime Day, 11.11 sales).
- Assist with managing timelines, deliverables, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with a passion for creating engaging content.
- Basic understanding of social media marketing and eCommerce.
- Experience with video creation and editing is a plus (even at a beginner level).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
