The Procurement Manager will oversee procurement activities for both direct and indirect categories at the manufacturing facility. You will also be responsible for developing local category strategies, leading sourcing initiatives, managing contract negotiations, and ensuring continuous supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead sourcing efforts for technology transfer or new product introduction (NPI) projects at the plant, which involve conducting RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, evaluating proposals, leading negotiations, and providing recommendations.
- Leverage sourcing management tools to develop and implement procurement plans that ensure supply continuity, maintain quality standards, optimize cost efficiency, foster innovation, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the process for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, including proposal evaluations, negotiations, award recommendations, and drafting contracts using corporate contract templates.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives to meet cost containment targets, while consistently driving year-over-year improvements in the budget.
- Support plant transition activities, including vendor setup, contract formation, blanket order establishment, and catalog configuration, ensuring the plant is operational and ready for a smooth handover.
- Take charge of preparing regular management reports, including LE PPV reports, claims, scorecards, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement or a related field
- At least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in procurement role within the medical device / manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, supplier management and SAP system
- Familiarity with the procurement lifecycle, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and technology transfer processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
