About the role
As a Construction Manager, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of complex construction projects. You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of construction, from planning and budgeting to supervising on-site operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects within the construction industry.
What you'll be doing- Develop and implement detailed project plans, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful and timely project completion
- Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient workflow
- Monitor construction progress, identifying and resolving any issues or risks that arise
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to provide input and resolve technical challenges
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management, communicating project status, challenges, and mitigation strategies
- Assist with the development and implementation of quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the construction team
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a construction management role, preferably as main contractor
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from start to finish
- Thorough understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Proficient in using project management software and other relevant construction industry tools
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Recognized universities under the BCA is a plus.
