Assistant Investment Advisor (AIA)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. CLIENT SERVICE AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • Deliver comprehensive wealth management services to clients under guidance and supervision of senior advisors and banker teams
  • Manage and execute client transactions related to banking, credit, and investment products
  • Serve as primary point of contact for client inquiries, service requests, and complaint resolution
  • Engage with clients to understand their financial objectives, risk tolerance, and long-term financial goals as and when required
  • Participate in client meetings, documenting key insights and action items as and when required
  • Provide ongoing client communication through regular updates and educational resources
  1. INVESTMENT RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on potential investment opportunities, market trends, and financial data under senior team guidance
  • Prepare weekly and monthly market summaries
  • Complete executive summaries detailing portfolio performance
  • Assist in development of tailored investment strategies based on client goals, risk tolerance, and prevailing market conditions
  • Actively monitor investment portfolios and collect relevant data
  • Create financial spreadsheets and provide analytical support for investment decision-making processes
  1. PORTFOLIO AND TRANSACTION MANAGEMENT
  • Process client payment orders and execute transactions involving securities, funds, bonds, money market instruments, and foreign exchange trades
  • Maintain and update client portfolios to ensure alignment with established investment strategies
  • Use portfolio management software to generate reports and analytics for client meetings
  • Assist in preparation of buy and sell recommendations
  • Monitor existing investments across multiple client portfolios
  • Prepare comprehensive client reports, investment proposals, and performance reviews
  1. ADMINISTRATIVE AND DOCUMENTATION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare account opening documents and maintain strict control over account documentation and compliance standards
  • Coordinate account maintenance for all products, including address changes, contact information updates, account status modifications, and fee adjustments
  • Maintain accurate client data and reports while ensuring proper system and file maintenance
  • Prepare and present investment proposals and performance reports to clients
  • Handle pre- and post-meeting coordination, including follow-up communications to understand client objectives and prepare for future appointments
  • Process service requests and maintain client files in accordance with firm standards
  1. COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT
  • Enforce all banking policies and procedures to ensure operational integrity while maintaining high client satisfaction standards
  • Adhere to internal directives and policies with particular emphasis on due diligence procedures
  • Comply with anti-money laundering protocols and regulatory requirements designed to protect firm interests
  • Ensure all transactions are completed within established audit and compliance standards in a timely manner
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information
  1. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUOUS LEARNING
  • Commit to continuous professional development and staying current with industry developments, investment products, and financial planning tools
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of firm's investment processes
  • Maintain ability to articulate investment options and explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language to clients
  • Pursue role as preparation for advancement within organization's investment advisory structure

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in management/finance from a top tier institute like SMU or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills in English.

A sound knowledge of markets, investments and finance.

Prior experience as a Investment Advisor will carry extra weight
