About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Underwriter (Property/Casualty/Engineering) to join a leading general insurer. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and growth of insurance and underwriting services.
What you'll be doing- Evaluate and assess complex insurance risks across property, casualty and engineering lines of business
- Identify and develop underwriting strategies and pricing models
- Review, accept and underwrite business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines including claim matters
- Mentor and train more junior underwriting staff to build a strong, capable team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure seamless operations and superior client service
- Experience as an Underwriter in the property, casualty or engineering insurance sectors
- In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, pricing methodologies and risk management techniques
