VP - Operations Manager (Asset Management)

Our client, a boutique asset management firm in Singapore, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operational, middle-office, and compliance functions. This is a key leadership role within a lean and collaborative environment, offering broad exposure and the opportunity to take full ownership of operational infrastructure and regulatory oversight.
Responsibilities The Operations Manager will manage the firm's day-to-day operational activities, including investor onboarding, trade execution and settlement, NAV and valuation support, cash management, and the maintenance of accurate records and processes.
The role requires someone who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring that all operational workflows are efficient, reliable, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements. The individual will work closely with investment, administrative, and external partners, and must be comfortable operating with a high level of independence.
The role involves providing governance and corporate secretarial support, coordinating board and shareholder meetings, and staying abreast of regulatory developments. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the firm's systems and technology vendors, drive automation initiatives, and support investor and platform onboarding, ensuring the timely delivery of fund documentation and reporting.
Requirements Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in asset management operations and a strong understanding of multi-asset middle- and back-office processes, global custody, fund administration, and regulatory frameworks. Experience in a lean or entrepreneurial setup is preferred.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required, with professional certifications such as CA or CFA being advantageous. The ideal individual is hands-on, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while partnering effectively across the business.
