Senior Research Manager (MedTech) - Toa Payoh

Job Description:

This Senior Research Manager will lead cross-functional research projects, from concept development through to clinical validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage research projects to support product development and innovation pipelines.
• Design experimental studies, protocols, and methodologies aligned with regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to generate insights that guide product design and development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing.
• Supervise and mentor research scientists and associates.
• Stay current with technological advances and industry trends, integrating relevant insights into the company’s innovation strategy.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, research reports, and publications.
• Support regulatory submissions and interactions by providing scientific data and evidence.

Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in MedTech, medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare R&D.
• Proven track record of managing research teams and delivering successful projects.
• Strong understanding of medical device development processes and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, MDR).
• Hands-on experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, and scientific writing.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in working with clinical partners or academic institutions is a plus.
