Our client is seeking a Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Coordinator to join their team!

What you'll be doing?
  • WSH Programme Support & Compliance — Play an active role in implementing WSH programmes and initiatives, communicating compliance requirements clearly to employees, addressing non-compliance, and ensuring unsafe work practices are properly reported and resolved.
  • Site Inspections & Monitoring — Carry out regular site inspections and routine checks to monitor work practices and site activities, while collecting and maintaining safety performance data to support continuous improvement and risk control.
  • Corrective & Preventive Action Monitoring — Support the rollout of actions designed to improve WSH performance, and track the effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures to ensure lasting positive change on site.
  • Incident & Emergency Response — Take prompt and decisive action when incidents or accidents occur, follow Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRPs), and keep team members informed during emergency situations and potential escalations.
  • Incident Investigation & Recommendations — Support thorough investigations into WSH incidents and accidents by collecting data, reporting findings, and contributing practical recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Risk Management & Assessment — Assess work processes to identify WSH risks, execute Risk Management plans and conduct Risk Assessments, and ensure all related documentation is properly completed and maintained.
  • Integrated Management System (IMS) Support — Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's IMS by supporting and implementing action plans that strengthen safety systems and operational standards.
Who are they looking for?
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) — Holding the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (Level B) along with valid WSH Coordinator Refresher Training is required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role.
  • BCSS Certification — Possession of the Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) certification is required, reflecting the regulated and site-based nature of this position.
  • Regulated Industry Exposure — Familiarity with environments such as pharmaceutical, manufacturing, cleanroom, laboratory, or industrial sites is valued, and prior pharmaceutical experience is particularly advantageous.
  • Permit-to-Work Experience — Experience reviewing and assessing Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation and advising on hazard identification will be highly regarded in this role.
  • GMP/GDP Knowledge — Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements, along with experience conducting safety audits, is an added advantage.
  • Communication Skills — Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with workers, supervisors, and contractors across various levels is essential in this role.
  • Computer Literacy — Intermediate computer skills are expected, and experience with digital safety and incident reporting systems would be a welcome advantage.
  • Additional WSQ Certifications — Certifications in areas such as Process Plant Safety, Risk Management, Confined Space, or Work-at-Height are advantageous and demonstrate a strong commitment to professional safety practice.

  • Working Hours: Mon to Fri. 8:30am-6pm
  • Office Location: Near to Ubi MRT / Macpherson MRT
  • Salary: $3000 - $3500 + OT
