Job Summary
Our client, leading MNC in ICT, is seeking a dedicated and MOM-registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee and manage safety compliance and initiatives across our operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, develop and implement safety management systems, and promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and the Environmental Public Health Act.
- Serve as the appointed WSHO in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
- Develop, implement, and review company WSH policies, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and safety drills to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead accident/incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders (e.g. contractors, clients, government agencies) to ensure WSH compliance on-site.
- Plan and deliver safety training, toolbox meetings, and induction programs for workers and staff.
- Maintain and update safety records, reports, and documentation required for audits and statutory compliance.
- Advise management on WSH legislation changes and recommend necessary policy updates.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and best practices across all departments.
- Must be a registered WSH Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
- Possess a valid WSHO Registration Certificate.
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in workplace safety and health, preferably with LTA experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001, bizSAFE framework, and other relevant safety standards.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH Act, Code of Practices, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Safety Auditor (optional but advantageous).
- Fire Safety Manager certification (if required by project/site).
- Experience with incident management platforms or safety reporting systems.
