Data Engineer
We are seeking a Data Engineer to play a key role in establishing and scaling a new data platform for a fast-growing organization. In this foundational role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data pipelines and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enabling the company to harness data for advanced analytics and decision-making.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build the core data architecture, ensure data quality and governance, and set best practices that will shape the organization's long-term data strategy.
Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing end-to-end data pipelines on GCP and enabling the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data from multiple internal and external sources. You will collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define scalable data models and ensure the reliability, performance, and accessibility of the company's data assets.
You will be expected to implement data quality frameworks, optimize performance across large datasets, and establish engineering standards that will guide future data initiatives as the organization scales.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong track record of building and deploying data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
A solid foundation in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT workflows is essential, along with experience in data modeling, data warehousing and workflow orchestration. Familiarity with tools such as dbt and Airflow, and working knowledge of version control and CI/CD practices, will be highly valued.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a 0→1 environment, where processes and infrastructure are being defined from scratch.
