Job Responsibilities:

Lead Mechanical Design & Proposal Development

Drive mechanical design and cost estimation for new project inquiries by analyzing specifications and proposing comprehensive solutions, including cycle time studies, structural concepts, and automation mechanisms.

Prepare and Present Design Proposals

Compile professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint for internal reviews and client pitches; liaise with vendors for component selection and accurate costing.

Execute Project-Based Mechanical Design

Deliver mechanical designs aligned with project scope, budget, and timeline, including creating 2D/3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs, while managing revisions efficiently.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with electrical, software, purchasing, and production teams to ensure integrated, feasible, and high-quality design solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Support Continuous Improvement and R&D

Gather feedback from project teams, conduct post-project reviews, and contribute to R&D and POC efforts by exploring innovative technologies and enhancing automation capabilities.

Standardization and Knowledge Management

Develop and implement mechanical design standards, maintain the ERX platform, and manage a centralized component and costing database for consistent and efficient project execution.

Team Development and Ad-Hoc Support

Provide mentorship to junior engineers, assist in training and documentation efforts, and contribute to organizational development by supporting staff evaluations, special assignments, and maintaining safety and workplace standards.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering, with a minimum of five years’ experience in custom automation design and implementation
