Tampines - Mechanical Project Manager/Assistant PM (Construction)

Your responsibilities include full project lifecycle management, technical coordination, and on-site supervision.

This position reports to the Director.

1. Site Management:

• Supervise and provide guidance on ACMV and mechanical equipment installation on-site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

1. Engineering Management:

• Support detailed design planning, propose construction methods, and assist with approval processes.
• Review shop drawings and technical submissions for client and regulatory authority approvals.
• Oversee material procurement from purchase order issuance through delivery.

1. Progress Management:

• Monitor project progress and implement improvement plans if delays occur.

1. Cost Management:

• Control costs for base works and variation orders.
• Manage claims and billing in collaboration with the commercial team.

1. Quality Management:

• Ensure all work meets client specifications and technical standards.

1. Safety Management:

• Enforce on-site safety procedures and maintain compliance.
• Develop and monitor safety plans for all work activities.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
• 20 to 30 years of experience in mechanical or ACMV installation work, including coordination with main contractors or general contractors
• Proven experience as a Project Manager managing full project cycles and supervising teams of 40 or more members
• Experience in public sector construction projects

• Experience working in a Japanese construction company is a plus
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) is beneficial
