Description
  • Provide first and second-line support for core applications used within the financial services sector.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, resolving issues promptly to minimise impact on operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address technical challenges and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Assist in deploying updates and patches to ensure application stability and security.
  • Document support activities and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in application performance and user experience.
  • Conduct routine system checks and maintenance tasks to support operational excellence.
  • Provide user training and support to enhance understanding of the systems in use.

Profile

A successful Application Support Analyst should have:

  • A degree or certification in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Practical experience supporting applications in the financial services industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of software deployment practices and application monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • An understanding of ITIL processes or similar frameworks is advantageous.
