Procurement / Sourcing Executive

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement / Sourcing Executive to support procurement and supply chain operations for operational activities.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in sourcing, coordinating, and expediting materials, equipment, and services required for operational support while ensuring efficiency and cost control.
This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong procurement coordination and vendor management experience within the engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing- Manage procurement activities for operational and project requirements
- Source and obtain competitive quotations from qualified suppliers
- Evaluate proposals and determine cost-effective procurement solutions
- Prepare, issue, and manage Purchase Orders (PO)
- Coordinate purchasing processes, negotiations, and PO releases
- Expedite open and overdue purchase orders to support operational timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers
- Serve as the key liaison between operations and vendors for procurement matters
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure correct specifications and materials are supplied
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing agreements
- Communicate procurement updates to support operational planning, scheduling, and cost control
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement execution
- Utilize the Company’s in-house procurement system for procurement transactions
- Process electronic requisitions submitted by Material Coordinators
- Convert approved requisitions into RFQs and Purchase Orders
- Ensure proper budget coding and catalog coding throughout procurement workflow
- Maintain procurement documentation including quotations, email correspondences, and vendor confirmations
- Ensure procurement records are properly updated and maintained within the system
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial procurement preferred
- Familiarity with technical equipment, spare parts, and operational supplies
- Experience using procurement or in-house systems is an advantage
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Good coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industry suppliers and procurement processes
- Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
