Full-Time Science Tutor – Job Description

The role requires the ability to teach and communicate effectively in both English and Chinese.

• Teach Science to students from primary to high school.
• Deliver lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as needed.
• Guide students in scientific inquiry, lab skills, investigation writing, and data analysis.
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments, exams, and practical components.
• Support school coursework, lab reports, IAs, and revision planning.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Track progress, offer constructive feedback, and maintain academic records.
• Collaborate with parents and the academic team to ensure learning goals are met.
• Foster curiosity, scientific thinking, and a positive learning environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or Science Education.
• Experience teaching international curricula (IB/IGCSE) preferred.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and scientific methodology.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with IB Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Knowledge of IGCSE Physics, Chemistry, and Biology syllabi.
• Experience guiding students through lab reports, IAs, and investigation tasks.
• Previous tutoring or international school teaching experience.
