Maintenance & Repair Technician
About the role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance & Repair Technician to join our team at Jurong Port Universal Terminal Pte. Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the Jurong Island. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment and machinery, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities.
What you'll be doing- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on various equipment and machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyor systems, and other industrial assets
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, and carry out necessary repairs to restore operations
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts replacements, and equipment performance
- Collaborate with the wider engineering and operations teams to identify and implement improvements to maintenance processes
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Provide technical guidance and support to other technicians and operators as needed
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within the engineering or industrial sector
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment required for maintenance and repair activities
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and a strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment
