Assistant Manager (Welfare Home Operations)
Role Overview
We are looking for a capable and driven Assistant Manager to work closely with the Superintendent in managing the overall operations of the welfare home. This role focuses on enhancing operational processes, strengthening governance frameworks, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about system improvements, policy development, and maintaining quality care in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Coordination- Support the planning and execution of daily operational activities within the Home
- Assist in workforce planning, staff allocation, and scheduling to maintain optimal staffing levels
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure efficient and seamless operations
- Oversee service delivery standards and ensure residents receive appropriate care aligned with established plans
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality
- Support the creation, review, and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
- Assist in audits, reporting, and proper documentation practices
- Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in operations, compliance, or governance roles
- Exposure to SOP development, policy writing, or quality management is advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking and documentation skills
- Able to work independently and effectively engage stakeholders
- Knowledge of MSF or healthcare/social service regulations is an added advantage
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:30pm
- May be required to perform weekend duty when scheduled
- Duty Officer shift (if assigned): 7:30am – 7:30pm
- Total working hours: 44 hours per week (excluding meal breaks)
