Threat Detection Engineer (Direct Contract)

The team has a strong focus on emerging technologies, including 5G and Cloud environments, and proactively counters sophisticated cyber threats targeting national digital assets.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive Cyber Threat Hunting programmes to proactively defend Singapore’s critical digital infrastructure.
- Conduct advanced threat hunting activities, including hypothesis-driven hunting, development of complex search queries, and in-depth analysis of findings.
- Lead and coordinate threat hunting operations with asset owners and cybersecurity teams across multiple sectors.
- Analyse large volumes of system logs, network traffic, and forensic images to detect stealthy adversaries and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
- Identify attack patterns, techniques, and indicators of compromise aligned with modern threat actor behaviour.
- Produce high-quality threat intelligence and forensic reports, clearly articulating findings, risk impact, and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor and assess emerging cyber threats and adversarial techniques to keep threat hunting methodologies current and effective.
- Background in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Information Security, with demonstrated expertise in cyber threat hunting and advanced detection techniques.
- Relevant GIAC certifications such as:
- GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst), and/or
- GCFR (GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner)
- Proven experience applying structured threat hunting methodologies and established risk assessment frameworks.
- Strong familiarity with attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and modern detection approaches.
- Passion for cyber threat hunting as a professional discipline, with a strong drive to continuously learn, evolve, and stay ahead of emerging threats.
