How you can contribute
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Network & Infrastructure to lead our network and infrastructure team and manage outsourced facilities management (FM) and end-user computing devices (EUCD) services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for steering the success of network and infrastructure projects, aligning them with our company’s strategic objectives while ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with our governance framework.
As the Assistant Director of Network & Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the network and infrastructure landscape of our organisation. You will work with a team of network professionals and manage outsourced vendors to ensure seamless operations and robust network performance.Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of network solutions that support our business goals, emphasising security, resilience, and technological innovation.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Initiatives & Technology Planning- Drive IT modernisation initiatives, including cloud migration, infrastructure upgrades, and the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance long-term efficiency and resilience.
- Support ICT strategic planning by identifying, evaluating, and implementing technologies and architectures aligned with evolving organisational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business and application requirements and design future-ready ICT infrastructure that supports enterprise objectives.
- Oversee the design and enhancement of corporate ICT architecture, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and adherence to industry best practices.
- Manage ICT budgets, forecasts, and procurement processes, optimising resource utilisation while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and financial controls.
- Oversee vendor relationships and ICT contracts, ensuring vendors deliver according to service-level agreements and contractual commitments.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain system availability, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Provide operational support for servers, networks, ICT security, desktops, and other infrastructure components in a predominantly Windows-based environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Proven experience in Information Technology, with more than 5 years of relevant experience in network and infrastructure management, cloud computing, project management, vendor management, and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies, security protocols, and IT governance frameworks.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written skills) and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Due to the nature of the project, the selected candidate will be required to be physically present in the office most of the time to ensure effective collaboration and project oversight.
