Senior project manager construction - Pasir Ris
Roles & Responsibilities:
Report directly to senior management, providing regular updates on project progress, key milestones, and critical issues.
Lead the end-to-end execution of construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Supervise and coordinate the work of multidisciplinary teams, providing clear direction and resolving technical and operational challenges throughout all phases of the project.
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and relevant authorities, ensuring seamless communication and coordination on all project-related matters.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure construction activities align with approved design specifications and project timelines.
Plan and manage resource requirements, including manpower, materials, and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and optimal utilization.
Prepare and present detailed project status reports and progress updates to stakeholders, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies where necessary.
Support the implementation of robust quality control processes to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with industry regulations.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Participate in site meetings, inspections, and audits, and address any issues related to project delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or senior leadership.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior-level capacity.
Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion.
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, quality standards, and local statutory requirements.
Proficient in project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction-related software applications.
Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to project execution.
