Overview

As part of the Asset Management team, you will support the management of a portfolio of investee companies with the objective of enhancing corporate value and maximizing investment returns. The role involves working closely with portfolio companies to strengthen governance, improve operational effectiveness, and support long-term value creation, ultimately facilitating successful exits to strategic investors.

• Work closely with the Director in a small deal team to oversee portfolio companies, including serving as an external director or in a similar advisory capacity.
• Develop and implement business plans aimed at value creation, including growth strategies, operational improvement initiatives, and exit planning.
• Prepare business plans, investment updates, and periodic reports for the Investment Committee and other internal stakeholders.
• Establish and enhance internal control frameworks and corporate governance standards across portfolio companies.
• Review and strengthen financial and operational processes, including analysis of financial statements such as balance sheets and profit & loss accounts.
• Assess and support the effectiveness of board structures, management frameworks, and overall organizational governance.
• Coordinate with the team at the Japanese headquarters on the execution of portfolio exits.
• Identify new investment opportunities by leveraging industry networks, market knowledge, and insights developed through ongoing asset management activities.

• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience gained in a consulting firm (including PMI or business process improvement), Big Four firm, corporate M&A or investment function, trading company investment/business management division, or investment banking environment.
• Solid understanding of M&A, post-merger integration (PMI), and investment-related processes, with a genuine interest in portfolio management and business transformation.
• Practical experience in governance, operational improvement, and hands-on execution of detailed workstreams.
• Strong interest in both investment management and business operations, with a willingness to be actively involved in execution-oriented responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across stakeholders.
• A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion.
