Roles & Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, minor repair and complete overhaul of automotive gearbox, differential gears, rear axle and steering box.
- Perform quality functional testing for gearbox. Prepare all tools to mount and dismount product for test bench at workshop
- Disassemble and re-assemble of engine, transmission gearbox, differential and rear axle and any other sub-components of buses at workshop or at external maintenance worksites
- Commission of new gearbox using Maker’s diagnostic equipment or software and conduct road trials
- Adhere to workshop Health and Safety procedures
- Apply Risk Assessments at work.
- Daily Housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining personal hand-tools and equipment to ensure functionality.
- Maintain all PPE in working conditions to ensure their functionality.
- Possesses at least Nitec in Automotive or relevant subjects.
- Open to work on marine gearbox when necessary.
- Possesses Class 3 or 4 driving license issued by Traffic Police with 2 or more years of driving experience without demerit points.
