About the role

We are seeking a talented Desktop Network Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position based in the Central/West Region. As a Desktop Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our organisation's desktop computing infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

Providing technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers, including hardware and software issues
Configuring and deploying desktop systems, including operating system installation, application installation, and user account management
Monitoring and maintaining the performance and security of the desktop network infrastructure
Implementing and administering desktop management tools, such as remote access, patch management, and software deployment
Collaborating with the IT team to identify and resolve network-related problems affecting desktop users
Documenting desktop network procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Providing training and guidance to end-users on desktop-related issues and best practices

What we're looking for

Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Desktop Network Engineer or in a similar role
Strong understanding of desktop operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, and Linux
Proficient in desktop hardware and software troubleshooting, configuration, and deployment
Experience with desktop management tools and technologies, such as remote access, patch management, and software deployment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve desktop-related issues
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with IT team members and provide support to end-users
Familiarity with network infrastructure, protocols, and security best practices
Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), would be an advantage
