About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Global Sales Director to join our team at VS Chem Singapore Pte Ltd. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving new business development and expanding our global customer base in semiconductor industry.As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will play a vital part in achieving our ambitious growth objectives.
What you'll be doing- Formulate and execute strategic plans
- Defines and establishes product strategies to meet Company’s goals and objectives
- Contributes to the development, implementation and realization of business strategy and annual plan and budget
- Negotiate contracts with customers, while considering on collaborating with our suppliers, across regions
- Update market landscape related to industry events, materials, services and innovations
- To collaborate with the company to enable how we source, negotiate and purchase materials and services from identified and reliable sources, locally and overseas
- To collaborate with the company to ensure supply and optimal cost to meet overall business targets
- Work closely with international counterparts to achieve global strategies and initiatives.
- Liaise with peers or others global functional support colleagues to seek opportunities for collaborative integration
- Manages sales, marketing and development of the Company’s products
- Prepare and present Company and product related information to share with customers, and subsequent updates
- To collaborate with the company to develop, review, and improve purchasing processes to maintain efficiency of operations.
- Attends sales networking related meetings and trade shows and events as required
- Seeks out market intelligence; carries out market research; responsible for development of businesses
- Gathers, monitors, analyzes, administers, and shares relevant market developments
- Collects and monitors customer developments; shares information with appropriate parties as necessary
- Assists in development of pricing strategies based upon market intelligence and required margins
- Revenue & Growth Management: Set revenue targets and grow revenue while identifying and penetrating new markets.
- Supports achievement of Business excellence
- Lead, collaborate and evaluate the work of direct reports
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major global clients and strategic partners.
- Reports and forecasts monthly sales for regular budget and financial reporting
- Develops sales and related business tools
- To collaborate with the company to produces standard contracts as directed; ensures accuracy of details in each contract and contract amendment; administers contract
- Supports supply chain by leading and/or participating in CI events, quality initiatives, etc.
- Works with the company and external third parties to assess partnership opportunities
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all sales activities comply with local laws, trade regulations, and corporate policies
- Acts as an expert with respect to the competition
- Participate in other tasks, assignments and projects as delegated by Immediate Supervisor and Vice President
- 15+ years’ experience in semiconductor industry
- Ability to work in ERP systems a plus
- Possesses analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to take the big picture and equate it to Company needs
- Ability to make recommendations based on market research; ability to analyze financial information
- Preferable to possess good understanding of financial concepts such as return on investment, cost of goods/services sold, profitability, credit-worthiness, days-sales-outstanding (DSO), margins and related concepts
- Familiar with market conditions including chemical related information in the semiconductor industry
- Able to promote Company offerings, services and policies, rules, regulations and processes and procedures
- Aptitude for project management, possesses leadership skills; independent worker; ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of business plan development and implementation
- Customer service focus including the ability to communicate diplomatically; problem solver
- Good computer skills, including ability to easily use MS Office suite; various email, internet, intranet, and other programs
- Excellent English communications skills, oral and written; ability to successfully handle social as well as business interactions with all levels pf customers’ personnel; diplomacy skills
- Marketing and supplier management experience preferred
- International business experience desirable
- Work Environment: Able to adapt to fast faced and target driven environment
