JOB SUMMARY
  • You will be responsible for driving and contributing to projects and initiatives supporting the CIB Co-Chief of Staff agenda for Transaction Banking (TB)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities
  • Drive the definition of strategic priorities across Transaction Banking and CIB more broadly
  • Ensure that the strategic priorities of Transaction Banking are aligned against financial aspirations and Corporate Plan
  • Create and present senior management materials on strategic topics
  • Support on planning and execution against strategic priorities
  • Drive collaboration within Transaction Banking and across CIB to bring priorities to life
  • Proactively shape the book of work and priorities across the Business Development team
  • Act as a mentor in the support of junior members across the Business Development team
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Transaction banking Management Team, Coverage, Products, Chief of Staff teams, CIB Management team
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Ideally experience in a strategic commercial role within CIB (i.e. Coverage, Products) or strategy consulting (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, Bain, Oliver Wyman, In-House)
  • Track-record of driving demonstrable commercial change within current/ previous role or team
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical role, preferably in financial services sector
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must have strong knowledge of CIB Business verticals (Products, Client Segments)
  • Must have knowledge of CIB origination processes/ activities
  • Must have knowledge of TB business (products, propositions
  • Background / experience in large-scale project management (PMO) preferred
  • Knowledge of CIB systems and operational processes preferred
