Our client is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join their team!

Take on a critical role where your Oracle database expertise will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical database environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with comprehensive Oracle technologies including RAC clusters, Data Guard, and Golden Gate while supporting enterprise-level database operations across production, development, and disaster recovery environments.

What you'll be doing?
  • Multi-Environment Support - Support Oracle Database environments across PROD/DR/DEV/QA/UAT environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability across all critical business systems
  • Database Administration - Provide expert administration for Oracle databases (11g/12c/18c/19c), managing complex enterprise database solutions with precision and reliability
  • High Availability Management - Support high availability Oracle RAC environments including 2/3/4 node clusters, Oracle Golden Gate, and Oracle Data Guard to ensure maximum uptime and data protection
  • Issue Resolution - Troubleshoot and resolve complex database integrity issues, performance problems, blocking and deadlocking situations, connectivity challenges, and security concerns
  • Performance Monitoring - Generate comprehensive reports using Oracle tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM, and custom scripts to provide insights into database performance and health
  • Continuous Monitoring - Provide ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and both historical and real-time performance analysis of Oracle database systems
  • Backup and Recovery - Manage RMAN, expdp/impdp, backup and recovery operations to ensure data protection and business continuity
  • System Maintenance - Evaluate and install new software releases, patches, upgrades, and perform database cloning operations to keep systems current and secure
  • Security Management - Develop and execute comprehensive database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance
  • Health Monitoring - Conduct daily health monitoring of database systems and perform regular data integrity checks to prevent issues before they impact operations
  • Performance Optimization - Collect and analyze database performance information, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions for performance improvements
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with users and vendors to resolve issues impacting service levels while conducting thorough root cause analysis
Who are they looking for?
  • Oracle Database Expertise - Extensive experience supporting Oracle Database environments across PROD/DR/DEV/QA/UAT with strong administration skills in Oracle versions 11g/12c/18c/19c
  • High Availability Experience - Proven experience supporting Oracle RAC environments, Oracle Golden Gate, and Oracle Data Guard in enterprise settings
  • Problem-solving Skills - Strong troubleshooting abilities for database integrity issues, performance problems, blocking/deadlocking situations, connectivity issues, and security challenges
  • Operating System Knowledge - Solid understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems to support comprehensive database infrastructure
  • Monitoring Expertise - Experience generating reports using Oracle tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM, and developing manual scripts for performance analysis
  • Backup and Recovery Skills - Strong experience with RMAN, expdp/impdp, and comprehensive backup/recovery procedures
  • System Management - Experience evaluating and installing software releases, patches, upgrades, and performing database cloning operations
  • Security Knowledge - Expertise in developing and executing database security policies and procedures
  • Performance Analysis - Ability to collect and analyze database performance information and implement effective solutions for optimization
  • Additional Technologies - Experience with other RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms will be advantageous for diverse project requirements
  • Communication Skills - Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) with strong documentation abilities for creating knowledge bases, runbooks, and topology documentation
  • Collaboration Abilities - Strong skills working with users and vendors to resolve issues and conduct thorough root cause analysis
