The Job

A respected, mission-driven social service agency is seeking a visionary and strategic Deputy Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. The Deputy Executive Director will provide overall leadership, ensure operational excellence, deepen stakeholder engagement, and uphold the organization’s commitment to compassionate, community-centered care and support.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute long-term strategic plans in alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth, innovation, and community impact.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to provide guidance and updates on strategic priorities and performance.
Operational & Financial Management
  • Oversee daily operations across all departments and ensure effective delivery of services and programs.
  • Ensure sound financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, with strong governance and accountability.
  • Lead resource planning, risk management, and compliance efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement & Fundraising
  • Strengthen relationships with donors, partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at public forums, networking events, and official engagements.
  • Lead fundraising initiatives, partnerships, and grant applications to support financial sustainability.
Team Leadership & Culture
  • Inspire, develop, and retain a high-performing and purpose-driven team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture rooted in empathy, collaboration, and service excellence.
  • Uphold and model ethical standards and organizational values.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in senior leadership, preferably in the social service, non-profit, or healthcare sector.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a passion for community service.
  • Demonstrated ability in organizational management, fundraising, and stakeholder relations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s social service landscape and regulations is highly desirable.
