Role & Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operational Management
  • Manage a team responsible for vulnerability management, endpoint security operations, and incident investigation activities for each Healthcare clusters.
  • Set performance objectives, ensure skills development, and maintain operational readiness across the team.
  • Ensure adherence to established security operating procedures and incident response processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and team capabilities.
Vulnerability Management
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end vulnerability management lifecycle, including vulnerability discovery, triage, risk assessment, remediation tracking, and exception handling.
  • Ensure vulnerabilities are prioritised based on risk, exploitability, and business impact.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, endpoint, and application owners to ensure timely remediation and closure of vulnerabilities.
  • Provide governance oversight for risk acceptance, compensating controls, and remediation timelines.
  • Produce regular vulnerability posture and risk reports for management and stakeholders.
Endpoint Security Management
  • Support Cluster endpoint security engineering functions covering endpoints, servers, and workloads including working with the cluster IT and applications teams, and users when required.
  • Work with the central security operational centre team and ensure alerts are investigated and provide the appropriate information in a timely manner.
  • Ensure endpoint security controls are properly configured, maintained, and aligned with organisational security standards.
  • Monitor endpoint security trends and emerging threats to continuously strengthen endpoint protection.
Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Ensure cybersecurity operations comply with organisational policies, standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present operational metrics, risk summaries, and incident reports to senior management.
  • Support audits, reviews, and assurance activities related to vulnerability management, endpoint security, and incident response.
  • Work with EUC teams to maintain the Authorised Software List for each Cluster.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Hands‑on experience in:

  • Vulnerability management and remediation governance
  • Endpoint protection / anti‑malware operations
  • Security incident support
  • Experience working in large, complex enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Technical & Professional Skills
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, endpoint security, SIEM, and incident management tools.
  • Ability to translate technical risks into clear business and operational impact.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams under pressure during security incidents.
Preferred Certifications (Advantageous)
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
  • GIAC (GCIA, GCIH, GCED)
  • ITIL or incident management-related certifications
