Job Description
We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team in Singapore. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in protecting our organization's critical infrastructure and data assets. - Operate and maintain SIEM, EDR, XDR, PAM, and other security platforms; configure and optimize detection rules and use-cases to minimize false positives while maximizing threat coverage
- Perform thorough log reviews and conduct proactive threat hunting activities; identify, escalate, and track security incidents to resolution
- Support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, antivirus solutions, and asset/patch management tools
- Validate and verify security detections; provide recommendations on patching strategies and system hardening to maintain mission-critical platform health
- Monitor security systems and conduct routine health checks; partner with stakeholders to report platform key performance indicators and security metrics
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by documenting lessons learned, sharing best practices, and identifying opportunities to enhance security posture
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and technologies; actively pursue opportunities to expand technical knowledge and expertise
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and provide actionable recommendations to remediate identified risks
- Collaborate with incident response teams to support investigation and containment activities during security events
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking fundamentals, and application architecture
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, XDR, PAM, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and asset/patch management tools
- Demonstrated ability to perform structured log reviews and communicate findings clearly and concisely
- Working knowledge of core cybersecurity principles including threat identification, vulnerability analysis, and detection versus response methodologies
- Experience with incident tracking, escalation procedures, and security event documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about security challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in security architecture concepts and vulnerability assessment methodologies
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to Singapore's cybersecurity landscape (such as PDPA and industry-specific standards)
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the cybersecurity field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
