Audio-Visual Professional - Geylang
The incumbent will work together with other members of the Audio-Visual team in the planning, coordinating, organisation, implementation, and evaluation of the Worship & Music – Audio Visual (“AV”) programmes, activities and workstreams, in alignment with BRMC’s vision and mission.
This role will require the individual to work a 5.5-day week; including weekends and occasionally work on evenings and public holidays. Appropriate rest day and time-off-in-lieu will be granted.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Front-end AV Operations- Responsible to deliver all AV technical requirements for regular worship services each weekend. This includes:
(b) procurement, assembly, operation, maintenance, and upgrading of technical equipment, including audio-visual equipment, cameras, lighting, livestreaming, graphics & media, control systems, backend infrastructure, connectivity platforms, relevant software, etc,
(c) supporting with AV technical operations for the respective worship services, including rehearsals, sound checks, tech runs, troubleshooting, etc,(d) any necessary set-up and tear-down of equipment before and after the respective worship services.
- Provide AV operational and tech support for other worship services and events throughout the year (on a rostered basis), including weddings, ministry-specific events, church camp, schools ministry, etc.
- Enable the long-term success and relevance of the AV Team through congregational awareness-raising, equipping and skill-development of congregation members, developing and refining workflow processes, improving coordination across ministries, facilitating stakeholder meetings, co-ordination with vendors, arrangement of logistics, publicity, record-keeping, etc.
- Regularly assess the AV needs of the respective worship services and the church as a whole.
- Identify, engage, enable, upskill, and nurture lay volunteers for the various Audio-Visual roles in the different worship services.
- Source, recommend, develop, evaluate, and implement tools, courses, materials, and technologies for the continuous skill development of the lay volunteer AV team.
- Track, inventories, and maintain up to date the relevant licenses and maintenance regimes for all relevant AV hardware (e.g. mixers, speakers, cameras, cables, network switches, computers, wireless devices, warranties, and others, etc) and AV software (e.g. CCLI licenses, software subscriptions, and others, etc).
- Implement and review AV strategies, structures, policies, workflows, SOPs for clarity, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Ad-hoc support with production of media (visuals, videos, music) to meet the needs of the various worship services and/or the Worship & Music ministry as a whole.
- Execute all programmes and activities with sound budgeting and financial management
- Execute all programmes and activities in compliance with church policies and guidelines
- Any other tasks as assigned by the pastors’ office or the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma, degree or postgraduate certification in the areas of worship, music, audio and visual production or other closely-related fields.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSETS:
At least 2 years of relevant experience and personal involvement in the areas of worship & music and/or AV production.- Proven knowledge and ability in technical elements of Audio-Visual systems and workflows
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and drive collaboration between different stakeholder groups.

- Willingness and ability to leverage new technologies, where appropriate.
