Assistant Finance Manager (Mat Cover)

Job Description Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Perform month-end, quarterly and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the department. Manage quarterly GST returns and annual tax filings, liaising with external tax agents. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts. Support audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with auditors. Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
The Successful Applicant A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA qualification Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in external audit Exposure to hospitality, REIT, real estate or asset management environments is an added advantage.
Strong hands-on accounting background with experience in month-end and statutory reporting Good working knowledge of GST, tax and regulatory compliance Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
