Job Description

The Senior Executive, a key member of the NSS Analytics team, is responsible for the efficient management of data systems and knowledge resources to support university operations. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, their primary responsibility is to develop and maintain data pipeline and dashboards for effective decision-making.

They oversee the maintenance and enhancement of data systems and analytics products, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for optimized data processing and delivery. Furthermore, they manage access controls to data assets by assigning and regularly reviewing access rights to stakeholders based on their roles and responsibilities.

Additionally, the Senior Executive, if inclined, may be exposed to data science initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the analytics team to maintain and optimize robust data pipelines.
Ensure the reliability and accessibility of data assets while adhering to data governance standards.
Assist business stakeholders to develop, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements to ensure data availability.
Perform optimization and maintenance activities on dashboards and data pipelines.
Maintain of documentation on the Dashboard developed.
Manage access controls to data assets by assigning and regularly reviewing access rights to stakeholders based on their roles and responsibilities
Provide individual and peer mentoring as appropriate and develop capabilities within the team, function, and organisation.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or any other relevant fields
Some experience in data-related roles, or a demonstrated willingness to learn in this field
Fresh graduates and career-switchers are welcome to apply for the role
Basic proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI
Interest in data modelling and database design
Good interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
Experience with Denodo and Snowflake will be a plus
