Job Description & Responsibilities
The Manager/Senior Manager, Admissions & Student Recruitment is a key management role in NAA, responsible for leading a team to drive student admissions and enrolment. The role-holder is expected to undertake the development and execution of local and international student recruitment strategies and activities to meet enrolment and revenue targets.He/she will lead a team to provide guidance in short courses, undergraduate and postgraduate matters including the engagement of university partners in respect to admissions and recruitment matters. He/she will also assist in portfolio development using market intelligence.
This position requires a dynamic and result-driven individual with a deep understanding of the education industry of Singapore, and a proven track record in student recruitment.
- Plan, organise and sell all the educational programmes offered by NAA. This will include marketing to corporate accounts, working with agents to recruit international students, and direct student recruitment.
- Liaise with professional bodies and government or private funding agencies for accreditation and awards (scholarship, bursaries, subsidies) that are relevant and appropriate to NAA’s programmes.
- Review opportunities for new educational services or programmes so as to make recommendations to the CEO on the development and introduction of new courses and programmes.
- Work closely with the Academic Dean, Education Marketing Department and Student Services Department colleagues to ensure that there is strong alignment student recruitment and marketing processes. This is crucial to ensure a consistent strategy for widening participation and success in recruitment. It is necessary to ensure that our various services are consistent with our corporate values and statements and our brand.
- Regularly analyse enquiries and admissions data, advising CEO of enquiry trends to inform the development of new products. This analysis should also inform about lack of market demand for existing products.
- Regularly review processes and procedures for admissions and corporate recruitment to enhance efficiency and delivery of the recruitment and admissions service.
- Selection of students for admission and issuance of student contracts and offer/welcome letters to new students consistent with our university partners’ requirements. This role requires working closely with NAA’s overseas University Partners to ensure success in student admissions.
- Establish and monitor processes to ensure best practice response times to direct applications. Monitor standards of written and verbal communication to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Effectively develop and lead a team to achieve the key performance indicators, including student enrolment numbers and revenue targets.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as required by the CEO.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Marketing or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years' work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and lead a team to achieve the key performance indicators.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
- A suitable candidate with extensive experience and leadership capabilities may be considered for a Senior Manager role
