As we expand our Building Services Business Unit, we are looking for commercially driven engineers who want to take ownership of market growth and build a meaningful sales career.
Job Description:
This is a revenue-generating role.
You will be responsible for developing, managing and growing customer accounts within the Building Services market in Singapore. The role combines technical understanding with commercial execution. Depending on your experience and capability, you will be hired as either:
- Sales Engineer
- Senior Sales Engineer
Both roles are growth-focused, but expectations differ in scope and ownership. You will report directly to the General Manager.
What will you do?
You will:
- Own assigned customer accounts with responsibility for revenue and relationship development
- Develop new customer accounts within targeted segments (consultants, contractors, developers, owners)
- Achieve agreed annual sales and margin targets
- Build and manage a structured sales pipeline using the company CRM system
- Conduct market surveys and identify trends, opportunities and competitive movements
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to consultants, developers and project teams (with support from Engineering when required)
- Manage day-to-day enquiries, quotations, negotiations and project follow-ups
- Attend site meetings and technical discussions when required
- Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts
- Communicate market intelligence internally to shape strategy and product positioning
This role requires proactive hunting, not passive enquiry handling.
What should I bring?- A recognised relevant academic degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services / Engineering discipline
- 2–5 years of technical sales experience in HVAC, plumbing, water systems, fire protection or related building services sectors
- You are highly interested in the commercial element of engineering while being technically adept.
- Comfortable engaging consultants and contractors
- Strong interest in the commercial side of engineering
- Proactive, disciplined and resilient
