Compliance Officer - Toa Payoh
Position Overview
The Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that the company and its affiliated entities operate in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring operational integrity, and cultivating a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
(A) Regulatory Compliance & Governance- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance framework, including compliance manuals, SOPs, and registers.
- Monitor regulatory changes (MAS, ACRA, IRAS, FSC BVI) and communicate updates to management.
- Prepare and review statutory filings, licensing submissions, and annual declarations.
- Support corporate governance documentation and coordinate internal/external audits.
- Oversee and conduct end-to-end KYC processes including onboarding, screening, and ongoing monitoring.
- Apply risk-based approach for client classification and EDD procedures.
- Maintain AML/CFT programs aligned with FATF standards and handle STR filings when required.
- Ensure FATCA and CRS compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Maintain the enterprise risk register and compliance monitoring plan.
- Perform periodic compliance reviews and ensure segregation of duties.
- Advise management on risk exposure and implications of new business initiatives.
- Conduct periodic compliance and AML/CFT training sessions for staff.
- Advise management and teams on regulatory interpretation and internal policies.
- Maintain compliance training logs and ensure all employees complete required learning modules.
- Maintain comprehensive compliance records and audit logs.
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports to management and Board.
- Track remediation and follow-up on audit findings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit functions.
- Strong knowledge of MAS AML/CFT Notices, Companies Act, FATCA/CRS, and PDPA.
- Experience using screening tools such as World-Check or LexisNexis.
- Professional certifications (ICA, ACAMS, or SCCP) preferred.
- Base Salary: SGD 4,500 – 5,500 per month
