About MyRepublic Mobile and Reward Land
MyRepublic Mobile is building Reward Land, a rewards app designed to connect consumers with offline merchants across Singapore. Through Reward Land, we aim to create a merchant network across F&B, retail, lifestyle, beauty, wellness, services, and other everyday local business categories.
We are looking for a driven Business Development Executive to help build Reward Land’s offline SMB merchant network from the ground up. This is a hands-on field sales role focused on identifying, approaching, pitching, and onboarding merchant partners.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys being on the ground, meeting business owners, starting conversations, handling rejection, and converting leads into onboarded merchants.
What You’ll Do- Identify and approach suitable offline SMB merchants across Singapore
- Build a lead pipeline through cold calls, emails, referrals, networking, walk-ins, and field visits
- Visit merchant locations regularly to pitch Reward Land’s merchant partnership offering
- Speak directly with business owners, store managers, and decision-makers
- Explain Reward Land’s value proposition clearly and confidently
- Handle merchant objections and follow up consistently to move leads toward onboarding
- Support the full merchant acquisition process from prospecting to onboarding
- Coordinate merchant onboarding requirements, documentation, and setup support
- Respond to merchant enquiries and provide basic post-onboarding support
- Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, pipeline status, and merchant feedback
- Achieve weekly and monthly outreach, meeting, and merchant acquisition targets
- Share ground feedback on merchant needs, competitor activity, and market opportunities
- Fresh graduate or candidate with 0-3 years of sales, business development, merchant acquisition, retail, F&B, customer service, roadshow sales, or field sales experience
- Comfortable with cold calling, email outreach, walk-ins, and face-to-face merchant meetings
- Willing to be on the ground visiting merchants rather than working only from the office
- Target-driven, resilient, and able to handle objections or rejection professionally
- Strong communicator who can explain simple business benefits clearly
- Proactive and disciplined in following up with leads
- Able to work independently and manage daily sales activities
- Hungry to earn more through performance incentives
- Familiarity with Singapore SMB merchants, F&B, retail, lifestyle, beauty, wellness, or local services is a plus
- Prior merchant acquisition, payment/POS, fintech, rewards, marketplace, or SME sales experience is a strong advantage, but not required
- Energetic, persistent, and comfortable approaching strangers
- Street-smart and practical in how you find new merchant opportunities
- Not afraid of cold outreach or walking into shops to start conversations
- Motivated by targets and performance-based rewards
- Looking to build a career in sales, partnerships, merchant acquisition, or business development
- Wants a mainly office-based research role
- Prefers only warm leads and avoids cold outreach
