Field Application Engineer

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer to deliver motion and control solutions across Southeast Asia region. This role involves close collaboration with customers and internal teams to design, implement, and support engineering systems using the company’s products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Propose motion & control solutions and develop engineering systems according to the customer applications and requirements
• Provide technical training and product knowledge to customers on company technologies
• Support customers on-site support, including installation, system configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure that the company products perform well according to the customer applications and requirements
• Develop demo systems for application-based use cases
• Prepare user manuals, training materials, and product instruction guide
• Document and report service cases in internal systems and communicate updates with relevant team members

Requirement & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in promoting motion and control solutions and technologies, demonstrating systems, and developing engineering systems in collaboration with the sales team and the customer.
• Understand customer technical requirements and applications, solving challenges using PI products and technical consultancy.
• Knowledge in motion & control, system integration, and/or automation fields (i.e. linear motor, motorized linear translation stage, driver, controller, position sensors, digital and analog I/Os)
• Knowledge in system tuning/configuration (i.e. PID parameters) and development software for motion control (i.e. Visual Studio, C/C#, LabVIEW, and/or Python)
• Strong Troubleshooting skill with ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently across both hardware and software
• Systematic approach to tasks handling
• Independent, self-driven and fast to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Provide hands-on on-site support (pre- and post-sales)
• Required to travel Southeast Asia countries (15%-20%) for on-site support and customer engagement
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred
• Minimum 3 years of motion control experience and 5 years working experience
