Job Overview
Responsible for Stamford Land Group of companies’ financial reporting and treasury matters. In-charge of preparing the Group’s SGX announcements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage the preparation of timely and accurate management accounts and reports
- Review Group’s financial statements and management reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyse Group’s monthly performance to for management’s informed decision-making.
- Prepare SGX announcement and related compliance matters.
- In charge of the monthly Group consolidation.
- Review monthly closing for local entities and weekly cash management reports.
- Provide guidance to business units on accounting issues and policies
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and SGX reporting requirements
- Preparation of the Group’s financial statements in the annual report
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts for the Group’s businesses and its various subsidiaries
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Group. Perform continuous monitoring and review of performance to enable robust periodic reporting to the senior management, the Board and Audit Committee
- Quarterly GST filing and preparation of annual tax compliance.
- Manage income distribution from trust entities.
- Direct liaison for auditors, tax agent, bankers
- Provide mentoring and guidance to the finance team to fulfill their potential.
- Manage the working capital components of the Group and ensure the cash flow processes, FX risks and interest rate risks are properly managed and monitored
- Oversight of treasury matters, including the prompt notification to banks of any updates to authorised signatories or staff points of contact when there are changes in key personnel (e.g., new hires or change in department). To ensure continuity of banking operations, an emergency plan should be in place to address urgent situations such as the sudden departure or unavailability of key individuals.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA) is essential.
- 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong experience in group consolidation and multi-entity reporting
- Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel when required.
