Finance Accountant - Toa Payoh

Our client is seeking a Finance Accountant to join their team!

About Our Client

Our client is a leading container shipping company. With a fleet of owned and leased containers and an extensive network of offices and agencies, they provide innovative shipping solutions from the Far East to the Middle East and North & East Africa.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual unconsolidated and consolidated financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements), ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial data, including revenues, liabilities, and expenditures, to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop cost and revenue forecasts to support budgeting processes and inform investment decisions.
• Tax Management: Oversee tax payments and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, minimizing risk and optimizing financial performance.
• Auditing: Conduct internal audits and participate in statutory audit processes, maintaining adherence to financial policies and resolving audit matters efficiently.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies, ensuring the integrity of financial records.
• Strategic Advising: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management, contributing to the company's overall strategy and growth.
• Policy Development: Assist in creating and refining financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to improve financial practices.
• Business Partnering: Engage in ad-hoc duties, including business partnering activities, to support the company's broader objectives.

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong academic performance that demonstrates your commitment to excellence.
• Professional Qualification: Preferably hold a professional qualification such as ACA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA, showcasing your expertise in the field.
• Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in financial accounting for a Group, ideally within the shipping, logistics, or maritime industries.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex financial scenarios and provide valuable insights.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all financial processes.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards, including IFRS, SFRS, GAAP, and local tax laws.

Other Information:

• Working Day: Mon to Fri, 9am-6pm (Hybrid work arrangement after probation)
• Office Location: 140 Robinson Rd, Tahir Building, Singapore 068907
• Salary: $4500 - $5000
