As a Resident Engineer (RE), you will be responsible for handling and supervising civil/structure/architectural works.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience as a Civil Engineer/Resident Engineer, in projects similar nature of the Works in LTA Civil Contract.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Resident Engineer (RE) to join our team in Singapore.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Assist Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) in preparation of Duty Roaster, preparation/checking of timesheets, and updating of leave records for all staffs, where required
  • Attend all necessary project meetings requested by client
  • Attend weekly project safety inspection on rotational basis
  • Prepare and submit Daily and Weekly reports
  • Assist SRE on preparation and submission of Monthly Reports, after reviewed by Qualified Person Supervision (QPS) and SRE
  • Assist QP(S) in the daily supervision and coordination duties
  • Review of Document Acceptance Requests (DARS) and send reply to client after obtaining approval from SRE/QPS
  • Maintain and update Drawing register and Drawings
  • Review/check/approve Request for Inspection (RFI) submitted by Contractor
  • Accompany New/First time inspection staffs and provide short briefing to Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) on the particular inspections
  • Conduct all final inspections for major items
  • Observe and report any near misses, following up on RTOs observation and/or near misses reported to client.
  • Support client on Safety related matters based on client's requirement
  • Maintain and ensure all project documents, both softcopies and hardcopies, are in order as per Audit requirements
  • Follow up on instrument readings closely and highlight in meeting if there is any breach
  • Prompt reporting to client on any non-compliance on safety and quality related matters
  • Report any non-compliance to QPS and SRE
What you’ll have
  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by BCA/IES/ACES, with minimum four (4) years of relevant experience as a Civil Engineer, including minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience handling and supervising civil/structural and/or geotechnical works.
  • Must be a registered and practicing Resident Engineer with qualification accredited by JAC of IES/ACES.
  • Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Singapore LTA project experience – MRT / Underground / tunneling works will be a plus
  • Candidates who can start immediately will be a great advantage
