Phlebotomist (Hospital) (ID: 697500)

• Option to choose between 5 days office hours and 2 rotating shift
• Stable career within Public Healthcare Setting
• Annual Bonuses up to 4 months

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture for the collection of blood specimen for dispatch to the laboratory
• Update in electronic medical record for blood specimen that has been collected and dispatched to the laboratory
• Perform blood sugar check using a POCT machine
• Practice universal precautions when performing any procedure
• Assist nurse in administering oxygen for patient
• Assist patient in performing lower limb exercises
• Perform inventory management in the ward
• Assist healthcare staff in re-positioning of patient in bed
• Assist in improving, identifying and implement changes in the work processes of the Phlebotomy service
• Orientate and guide new Phlebotomy staff
• Perform any other duties assigned by the nursing supervisors

Requirements:

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Nursing or Phlebotomist certification by recognized institutions.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in performing venipuncture.
• Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Compassionate and keen to work in the public healthcare sector
