Roles & Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and building plans to meet client requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, staircases, cabinets, and molding.
- Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.
- Build frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate material requirements and manage inventory on-site.
- Operate machinery such as saws, drills, and sanders efficiently and safely.
- Meticulous and able to work independently.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
- Certification in carpentry or construction (preferred but not always required).
- Experience in both residential and commercial carpentry (based on project needs).
- Willing to work at island wide.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
