Assistant General Manager - Bedok

A well-established fine dining restaurant is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead our front-of-house operations and support the General Manager in delivering top-tier dining experiences.

We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in front-of-house leadership, ideally in a fine dining or premium hospitality setting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrates a strong sense of service excellence, leadership, and team development.

Your Role:

As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standard of hospitality. You will lead the front-of-house team, maintain strong customer relations, and help shape the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily front-of-house operations alongside the GM
  • Manage staff during shifts, providing leadership, feedback, and motivation
  • Ensure exceptional service standards are maintained at all times
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new team members
  • Support hiring processes, staff scheduling, and shift planning
  • Uphold high standards in food, service, cleanliness, and health & safety
  • Respond to customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Greet guests, manage reservations, and ensure seamless service flow
  • Guide customers on menu choices, including wine and beverage pairings
  • Assist with revenue tracking, budgeting, and business development
  • Collaborate with suppliers and oversee inventory levels
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and special events
  • Work with GM to develop strategies for improving performance and guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
  • Read P&L and offer solutions to channel sales growth

We’re Looking For:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role within a fine dining or high-end restaurant
  • Strong food and wine knowledge
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Calm, composed leadership style with a hands-on approach
  • Experience in shift scheduling, service coordination, and training
  • A passion for hospitality and creating unforgettable dining experiences
