Our client, a reputable Japanese engineering company, is seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager (HVAC Engineering) to expand our presence across the ASEAN region, focusing on ASEAN region non-Japanese multinational clients in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, food & beverage manufacturing industries and Data Centres.

This role will be based in Singapore and play a key part in our regional business growth strategy.

You will be reporting to the Japan HQ.

【 Responsibilities 】
  • Develop and execute business development strategies targeting non-Japanese multinational manufacturing companies in Singapore and across ASEAN.
  • Establish strong relationships with important decision-makers in target areas such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and Data centres.
  • Manage the entire sales process, including lead generation, proposal formulation, contract negotiation, and post-sales support.
  • Support local sales teams in ASEAN countries by preparing quotes, negotiating contracts, and managing projects.
  • Analyse market trends and competition to find potential opportunities.
  • Regularly report to headquarters in Japan to ensure alignment with corporate goals.

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or equipment industries.
  • Proven experience in sales within the ASEAN region or working with non-Japanese multinational manufacturing clients.
  • Possess basic knowledge and experience in HVAC systems.
  • Willingness to travel for business once a month (approximately one week) to locations such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, India, Japan, etc.
  • Fluent in English in order to communicate with counterparts.

  • Able to join as soon as possible.
  • Previous work experience in Singapore and familiarity with local business practices.
  • Possess an existing network in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or food & beverage industries.
  • Technical sales background or engineering education.
