As a Senior Software Engineer (Java), you’ll be a key part of the engineering team responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performing applications—from backend business logic to frontend presentation layers. You’ll collaborate across functions to deliver enterprise-grade systems, integrating services and APIs across a complex environment.

This role isn’t just about writing code—it’s about contributing to architecture, peer-reviewing code, troubleshooting in production, and driving quality across the SDLC. You’ll be expected to bring strong Java fundamentals and work comfortably across services, databases, and deployment pipelines.

This is a perment, fulltime role, that has a hybrid work setup.

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications and systems integrations
• Ensure best practices are used throughout the software development life cycle
• Actively participate in all aspects of the software development process
• Collaborate with other software engineers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications built
• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
• Deploy systems to production and provide post-implementation support
• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
• Provide maintenance support to customers (during/after working hours when necessary)
• Understand the inter-dependencies of the services (application, system and database)
• Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation
• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time
• Fluency in English and Mandarin for effective business communication with Client & Internally

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development for enterprise applications
• Strong skills in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Cloud, Security), JSP, JSF
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, and integrating with SOAP/Web Services
• Solid understanding of backend messaging tools like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, JMS
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery for front-end interactions
• Exposure to databases like Oracle, PL/SQL, MySQL, and in-memory caching with Redis (Jedis)
• Familiarity with deployment and DevOps tools: Git, Jira, Jenkins, JUnit, Spring Test
• Proficiency in Chinese for effective internal & external stakeholder communication and business correspondence

• Experience with AWS cloud deployments
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Bonus exposure to Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch
• Modern frontend exposure (Bootstrap, ReactJS)
• Experience working in Agile teams on microservices and CI/CD pipelines
