ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant team leader to join our IFS Singapore team.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while driving our regional closing and reporting processes. You will manage a dynamic team, where your expertise directly contributes to our global success.
Key Responsibilities- Closings: Lead the full spectrum of month-end and year-end closing activities for our Singapore entities.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports and financial statements in accordance with standards.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST filings, and statutory audit requirements.
- Analysis: Perform variance analysis, monitor bank balances, and provide actionable financial insights to the management team.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize accounting workflows and support the implementation of financial tools.
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, with a strong focus on full-set closings and financial reporting.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA or ACCA) are highly regarded.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP systems (knowledge of Exact Globe+ or similar is a plus).
- Mindset: A proactive, independent team player with a hands-on mentality who thrives in a dynamic international environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills; maritime or F&B industry experience is an advantage.
