AML Operations Analyst - 6 months Contract | Bank - Toa Payoh

Responsibilities:

• Perform transaction surveillance monitoring and analysis to identify suspicious activities and potential Anti-Money Laundering (AML) red flags, including fraud, scams, and money mule account activities.
• Detect suspicious transaction patterns, trends, and AML typologies from customer accounts; review financial transactions and conduct fund tracing.
• Apply fraud detection techniques using an analytical and data-driven approach to identify emerging fraud/scam modus operandi.
• Conduct investigations into fraud and scam alerts, escalate findings appropriately, and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) for submission to relevant Law Enforcement Agencies.
• Contribute to transformation initiatives that enhance financial crime surveillance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform AML and fraud management reporting, including data extraction, preparation, and reconciliation.
• Support the execution of AML and fraud governance forums by preparing meeting agendas, documenting minutes, tracking action items, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in AML surveillance, fraud investigation, or transaction monitoring within financial institutions.
• Good understanding of financial crime typologies, fraud detection, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
