Cnc Programmer Job Summary

CNC programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.
Develop new CNC programs for production runs or modify existing programs for different machines.
Perform quality checks with the machine operator to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications.
Manual adjustments if required and update to existing program.
Work with the engineers for product modifications to reduce the amount of material or fabrication time.
Computer-aided design programs NX software.
Maintaining of program master list and revision.

Cnc Programmer Duties and Responsibilities

Develop CNC programs for production runs.
Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
Modify existing programs for different machines.
Maintain tooling database.
Make manual program adjustments as necessary.
Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
Support RFQ quotation fabrication process.

Cnc Programmer Requirements and Qualifications

Diploma, GCE ‘O’ ITE.
Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.
Familiarity with Mastercam and NX software.
Basic math skills
